The Blystad Group is seeking an Investment Analyst/Associate to join our finance and investment team. Your expertise in Excel modeling will be critical in ensuring accurate and effective financial planning, analysis and reporting on behalf of the Group’s business areas.

As an Investment Analyst/Associate, you will be joining a dynamic team of investment managers, where you will participate in screening investment opportunities and presenting to colleagues and other stakeholders. You will enter a youthful group with great speed, high complexity, short decision-making paths and high requirements for implementation and delivery.

This role will be a key resource in further developing existing and new investments, reporting directly to the CEO and CFO.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, maintain, and update complex cash flow Excel models on behalf of the Group’s business areas, ensuring they meet the company’s financial analysis and reporting needs

  • Apply advanced Excel modeling skills to improve existing models and create new tools as required

  • Produce professional PowerPoint slides and Excel models to support the broader Group’s presentations and communications

  • Develop and maintain reporting tools to provide accurate and up-to-date information for management

  • Support the implementation and improvement of treasury systems and processes

  • Contribute to capital management, including handling loan portfolios and investments, as well as participating in projects related to M&A, capital structure, and financing

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Higher education in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, investments, or a relevant role

  • Excellent Excel modeling skills, with the ability to develop and maintain complex financial models

  • Strong understanding of financial risk and liquidity management

  • Proven ability to efficiently produce high-quality PowerPoint presentations

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently

  • Fluency in both Norwegian and English, both written and spoken
