As the Business Controller, you will play a critical role in the financial management and strategic planning processes of our firm. This position involves providing financial analysis, oversight, and strategic guidance to support decision-making processes and ensure successful transactions. The Business Controller collaborates closely with senior management, financial analysts, and other stakeholders to optimize financial performance and support the firm's growth objectives.
You will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals, collaborate with key stakeholders, and leverage BearingPoint's global network to shape and execute our strategic vision in the transaction advisory and M&A space. Bearing Point Capital M&A is an international organization with employees spread across in the different regions. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with the Business across the regions and the firm-wide Finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
Analysis of the complete P&L for our Capital / M&A business across multiple jurisdictions
Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial results, variances, and key financial and operational performance indicators (KPIs)
Developing relationships with Managers and Partners on each client job
Working with the Resource team to provide inputs for Revenue forecasting
Serve as a liaison between the finance department and other business units, providing financial insights on the business performance, variances, and trends and other support as needed. Responsible for month-end ledger close processes including Balance Sheet reconciliations
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts related to M&A activities
Responsible for ensuring all Revenue accounting is accurate and in compliance with relevant accounting standards
Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory authorities to ensure accurate financial reporting and adherence to compliance requirements
Experience & Professional Qualifications:
Experience in the Professional Services industry or Project Accounting would be an advantage but not a must have
Experience in the Investment Banking/Transactions Services industry is a plus, not a must have
Knowledge of working cross border in Europe
Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as ERP systems, SAP, Tagetik, Excel, financial modeling software, IFRS (and other reporting/accounting standards)
High attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis and reporting
