Berkley Nordic is seeking a proactive, communicative and business oriented Head of Claims to lead the claims team and the claim function for Berkley’s Nordic region. The role as Head of Claims will report to the Nordic CEO in Stockholm and will be part of the Nordic management team.
Head of Claims will provide expert opinion on claims for the business units and will manage and coordinate claims activities to achieve business goals and objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing claims exposure and ensuring claims are managed proactively and efficiently in conjunction with the prevailing legal and regulatory environment
Ensuring that claims management controls are operating effectively
Ensuring that claims are proactively identified and competently evaluated and addressed by all claim stakeholders
Interact with and follow up all relevant stakeholders
Desired background and qualifications:
Relevant professional qualification, preferably Master of Laws
Minimum 10 years relevant experience with proven experience from the insurance industry
Strong communication and presentation skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Norwegian, or other Scandinavian language

Berkley offers a challenging position in a positive, competent and international working environment. Travelling will be required, primarily to Sweden. Exposure towards other European countries could also be an option.
