Tenix is looking to strengthen the team with a strategic, commercial, and analytical Head of Business Development. This role is critical in driving the company’s growth trajectory, focusing on expanding the business in measurable ways, including revenue growth, market penetration, and operational scalability, all while ensuring the company’s offerings align with market demands. In addition to this, the Business Developer will work as the CEOs sparrings partner and “right hand”.

As part of the group management team, the Head of Business Development will interact with various members of the company, key customers and the Board of Directors. The role will report directly to the CEO.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify Growth Opportunities: Conduct thorough market research to identify new business opportunities, emerging markets, customer needs, and industry trends. Define optimal go-to-market strategies together with commercial team and facilitate execution. Engage directly with existing and potential new customers to validate market needs and opportunities

  • Competitive Analysis: Monitor competitors' activities and develop strategies to differentiate the company in the market

  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement growth strategies that align with the company’s goals. Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO, senior management and Board of Directors

  • Deliver and develop frameworks for operational task such as ESG reporting, commercial reporting, market and competitor analysis, strategic objectives, etc

  • Leading Strategic Sales Forums: Facilitate collaborative discussions or events focused on sales strategies, performance, and market trends

  • Business Development and M&A: Advise on long-term business development and potential mergers and acquisitions, with an emphasis on developing concepts for market launch

  • Fundraising support: Assist in fundraising efforts, including modelling and creating presentations for potential investors

Desired Qualifications:

  • Relevant education preferably at a master's level

  • 3-8 years’ experience in similar positions, preferably with a management consultancy background

  • Experience from technology scale-ups and/or transportation or logistics industries will be an advantage

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and in Norwegian
