Knut Grotli is Managing Partner at Ascender. Knut has worked as an executive search consultant in numerous Norwegian companies within diverse industries. He has a strong focus and interest in leadership and organisational development, including the composition of management teams and the recruitment of senior executives.
He is the former managing partner of PwC Norway. He served as the Deputy Administrative Director of BDO Norway, where he was also a partner. Furthermore, he has extensive experience in corporate finance from Carnegie, with a focus on M&A and IPOs, as well as transaction advisory services at the former Arthur Andersen.
In addition to his professional focus on economics, finance and investments, he has played a central role in the establishment of new service areas with an emphasis on strategy and professional skills development. Knut has also utilised his management and team building expertise during several international climbing expeditions, and he summited Mount Everest in 2011.
Knut earned his degree in Business Administration and Economics from the Norwegian School of Economics and Bocconi University. He is a qualified statutory auditor and also earned a postgraduate degree in Finance from NHH.
